Quarantine – what to do while we can’t go thrifting!

Hello, friends! Have you washed your hands today? If not, leave this post open and go straight to your number one obligation as a responsible human!

Today I am going to share some of my ideas of what to do with our thrifting addiction while we are in quarantine. Please, do not try to go shopping. Coronavirus is no joke, and we have to respect this moment in order to our lives to go back to normal as soon as possible. Also, you won’t find anything open, since mostly thrift stores are closing to keep their staff and you safe.

But it doesn’t mean that we have to give up on our favorite hobby, there is a lot of things that can be done and that is also very fun!

  1. Organize your wardrobe: do you remember that distant time where you complained about not having time to clean up your messy wardrobe? Well, this excuse will not work anymore, and if you don’t know how to start, here is a video I love about the subject!
  2. Catalog your vintage pieces: after cleaning, one thing that I love doing but never have time, is to catalog my clothes. There is different methods to do it: you can do spreadsheets or use apps like ClosetSpace. It helps you to understand better your style, plan your next outfits and notice better what you need to buy and what you have to stop buying right now (nobody needs 25 pairs of jeans)!
  3. Research inspiration on Pinterest: Create boards with styles you like, so when we finally be free to go shopping again, you will be more inspired than ever!
  4. Buy online: There is many online second hand stores like ThredUp, Poshmark and Ebay that you can buy from. And even though there is no reported cases of Coronavirus linked to shipments, it is good to have extra safety when you grab your packages, like wearing gloves and washing your hands right after.

I hope this list helps to keep yourself busy and organized. I am all about being positive and productive during times like this, and I believe we can go back to our normal lives as much better human beings than we are right now. Please share with me what you are doing, books you are reading and so on! I will love to learn from you guys.

See you on the next post!

  1. Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t
mind me asking what theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it?
    :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite
    a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it
by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take
care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!

    1. Hi Justin! Thanks for supporting my Blog, I really appreciate it. The theme I use is GuCherry Blog. I like it a lot and it is easy to work with. I visited your website and it is looking pretty good and complete!

      Stay safe!

  2. Excellent blog you have got here.. It’s hard to find quality writing like yours nowadays.
I truly appreciate people like you! Take care!!

  3. A fascinating discussion is definitely worth comment. There’s no doubt that that
you should publish more about this issue, it might not be
a taboo subject but usually people don’t talk about these subjects.
    To the next! Best wishes!!

    1. Thank you for the encouragement, I definitely need it. I will be back with more content like this.
      Appreciate yor comment.
